hi!   Man.. you have gone way too back in time :) Let alone DOS, even Win95 doesn't 
support .NET. So, you wish to have your DOS client talk to the .NET application.. 
hmmm..   Actually, you can. Have software like Trumpet 
(http://www.alumni.caltech.edu/~dank/trumpet/) installed on your DOS machine and write 
a TCP/IP based application that shall listen for TCP/IP requests from your .NET app., 
which can ofcourse talk TCP/IP.   Remember, in the days of DOS, protocols weren't much 
heard of, esepcially network protocol stacks. Only serial stacks, like Zmodem, Kermit, 
etc were there, but they dont have managed equivalents, and anyways, aren't much 
reliable.   Use TCP/IP if you really need the DOS and .NET interaction.   Cheers :)
