Archiving doing good!
Hi BDotNet
!
Many of you would know that we are using a external free
public service of mail-archive.com to archive our messages. why? thats 'cos
message archive in msn groups doesnt have the feature to "search" the
archive.
For a while the service was encountering issues and was
not performing to its best. Its been up since 2 weeks and I was waiting to see
it perform for a while before I told you guys....!
The B.NET Search link in our home has been restored
now... and the url is http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ....
Interesting........ google has started indexing these!
:) If you wish you use google to search the archive, u can use this GQL syntax
(GQL is Google Query Langauage.. now, this term is my coining and the only other
place I have seen GQL is at Philip Lenssen's blog @ blog.outer-court.com.. so,
nothing official abt it)
<your query
words> site:mail-archive.com inurl:bdotnet ....... for ex: sql
site:mail-archive.com inurl:bdotnet .. result:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=sql+site%3Amail-archive.com+inurl%3Abdotnet&btnG=Google+Search
now... you
canNOT expect the latest archive in google.. since it wud take time to be indexed.
the thrilling part
is that we are now open to the world ! Our post might help someone no way
related and someone how doesnt know our group..... :)
Good
Day
Rajiv.
