Hi Another way of doing this is like this <TextArea id="tx3" name="tx3" rows="2"
cols="20" onKeyPress
="if(event.srcElement.value.length>=3){window.event.returnValue=0;}"></TextArea>
Setting the window.event.returnValue to 0 negates the event(in this case the keypress)
