Hi, You cannot have a config file for a DLL (class lib) as such. The class library 
would inherit settings from the application that loads it. So, if your DLL is used 
from an ASP.NET application, you can place settings in web.config. If it is used by an 
other application, place the settings in <<app>>.exe.config. If settings are placed in 
machine.config, they would be accessible globally, irrespective of the application 
that loads it (may not be very advisable though). You might also want to consider the 
new Configuration Management Block from MS, which might solve many of the
