Hi ,   See while you are using some ado.net connection and assuming that you are 
having a totally separate database server then while connecting user name and password 
are passed over the network in form of plain text but connection string has some 
relevant settings like persistSecurityInfo , through which we can prevent this till 
the point we are not having trusted network connection , regarding various ADO.NET 
objects like DataSet , DataView or DataReader , it depends how you are using it , 
which storage mechanism ,  state management are u using .  According to me these 
things depends more on Application Security , DataBase Security etc .   If there's 
some specific problem then we may try to resolve it    Regards , Mrinal
