Hi,
I had used a workaround which I had to
link a asp app to a j2ee , jsp based app. the scenrio is alomost same... the
session cannot be shared.
all i had to do was to create
a session variable with the employee id in asp and set the value as it was in
the jsp. wht i did is this:
1. In the JSP page (main.jsp) , link to
interface.asp?empid=<%=pull empid frm java session and put
here%>
2. In interface.asp, i do a
form.querystring("empid"), create a session in the asp page and set the value.
3. Now redirect to asp application and it
was get the session data of empid.
As a security measure, in interface.asp I
check the HTTP_REFERRER server variable to be equal to main.jsp. this is avoid
any direct requests to interface.asp... note that it is very much reqd .........
hope this helps...
good
day
rajiv

Hi Nanda,
Sessions in asp is
different from asp.net.
So u cannot use sessions created in
asp.net in asp and vice versa.
u have to use some other
mechanism for the same
