thanx for the solution
iterator = nav.Select("SM/pMenu/pPath[1]")
once has to depends the [no] which can vary.
Here is the another way.....
Dim doc As New XPathDocument("c:\file.xml")
Dim nav As XPathNavigator = doc.CreateNavigator()
Dim expr As XPathExpression
expr = nav.Compile("SM/pMenu/pFile")
Dim iterator As XPathNodeIterator = nav.Select(expr)
While iterator.MoveNext()
MsgBox(iterator.Current.ToString())
End While
