This approach has no problem, but the point is: what are the facade objects adding to the overall invocation flow? From what I understand, just a level of indirection, and unless some addon stuff is happening at the facade object level (like validations, formatting, etc), you would perhaps do better by directly invoking L2 objects (and making them transactional) to talk with L3 objects, since the L1-to-L2 invocation overhead will be reduced.
