I would like to extend mihir's answer. U can write a query & open the connection. Bind
it to list box like following. Dim strConn as string
="PROVIDER=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;DATA SOURCE=Database"
Dim strSQL as string =select distinct EMPID from publishers
Dim Conn as New OLEDBConnection(strConn)
Dim Cmd as New OLEDBCommand(strSQL,Conn)
Conn.Open()
List1.DataSource = Cmd.ExecuteReader(system.data.CommandBehavior.CloseConnection)
List1.DataBind()
