----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Vinu Message 3 in Discussion Hi Chief, Thanks for the reply! To put some premise into this discussion let me re-quote material regarding codebase mentioned in the bookVisual basic .NET and the .Net platform by Andrew Troelsen Specifying <Code base> elements(pg. 361) The final aspect of application configuration files that you examine at this point isthe use of codebases. *.config files can support another xml tag named <codebases>, which is used by the assembly resolver to locate dependant assemblies that are located at arbitrary locations (including other machines)....... Also we can discuss best practices in distributing and accessing common libraries which need not be COM realted at all. I had also come across while searching through the net that accessing other machines dll's are possible unless its a weakly signed one. Hope to find the solutions Many Thanks Vinod ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
