Hi!   True, the proxies I referred to was TP (TransparentProxy) since that is what is 
handed to the Remoting client for a MarshalByRef object, although RealProxy does come 
into picture, though internally.   Secondly, SoapSuds is best known, not to create a 
proxy, but for getting the metadata of a remote class, may that be a webservice, a 
remotable class, etc.   Thirdly, the proxy that one talks about in context of 
WebServices, is not the TP (or similar) entity as in Remoting. Thats more like a 
pseudo class which delegates class to the WebService on the webserver. Unlike a 
remotable class that is MarshalByRef and has its proxy created which contains a 
reference to the server and object endpoint only with data being transferred without 
being serialized, a webservice proxy does require that everything that is passed to 
the websrevice is serailizable.    So, a webservice proxy is a kind of intermediate 
between the MarshalByRef and MarshalByValue component entities.   Gaurav
