Hi Group, We are in the process of starting a ASP to ASP.NET Migration Project. The 
existing ASP application is very slow and crashes quite often, the client is convinced 
about .net and expects performance gain after migration.  As for as 'getting the 
system up and running in .NET' is concerned, it can be done by simply saving the files 
in .aspx format and making some changes in the VB code. I intend to do this as per 
this MSDN article.

  I also saw the archived messages on this UG regarding the same topic, but my 
question is... can we achieve any performance boost by just converting an asp to aspx 
?    The client wants this to be done in a short time, so we don't have the time to 
rewrite the code with all the best designs and practices prescribed by Microsoft :(.
