Hi!   You should avoid the linkButton control since its a server side control, and 
clicking it will result in a postback. Better way is to write your own hyperlink, as 
explained below:   In the ItemDataBound event of your grid, write this code:   string 
strQueryString = e.Item.Cells[0].Text; e.Item.Cells[1].Text = "<a target=\"_blank\" 
href=\"mypage.aspx?Query="+strQueryString+"\">View</a>";   That will do the trick! 
Ofcourse, you will need to URLEncode the QueryString if applicable.   Gaurav
