Make sure in the Page_Load event, you're checking
for "If Page.IsPostBack = False Then" data binding. This will make sure you're
not binding the data again and again which can override the users
selection.

Im populating a listbox with the
result of a query. The user selects an option and this gets
posted back. This is a simple data entry form, not a datagrid.
Im having prob retrieving the value the user selected in the
list. WHy is this happening? I need these values to insert into
my db.
Any insights?
