Hi
Srini,
you are allowed only one
DataReader per Connection and it will block any other data access..... u need to
close one and then open another.... in your case u might hv to use 2 different
connections....
but do look into the "some code" if u can accomplish ur
functionality by using a single sql query (i always try to offload data
manipulation to queries and avoid them in code as much as possible.....), hence
a since sdr wud suffice....!

hi,
I am facing problem with
datareader,the error i am getting is "There is already an open
DataReader associated with this Connection which must be closed
first."
in the code
While
(reader1.Read())
....Some
code
while(reader2.read())
....Some
code
end
while
reader2.close()
end
while
reader1.close()
i
am using two different SQLCommand objects and two different
readers.the same piece of code working fine dotnetframe work
1.0/VS.net ,now i have upgraded to dotnetframework 1.1/VS2003
and i changes the data source from Oracle to SQL Server
If
any body face similar kind of problem let me
know.
