Execute the below query (without double quotes) in any language (VB or anything) using the connection object pointing to the desired database at any client/server system thru your application, it creates a Backup of your database at the server's location ie. the RequiredDriveAtServer:\DirectoryToPlaceTheBackup\FileNameForBackup => " Backup Database CMIS to Disk = 'E:\DataBack\Backup20030827.bak' " Where E:\ is the server's E Drive (Physically located/Should be available @ Server), DataBack is the folder where you need to put the backup, Backup20030827.bak is the file which is your backup file.
