----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Reddicharla Message 2 in Discussion Hi Suj, When you use Server.Transfer the transferring from one page to other is happening on the server side, that means, if you are in xyz.aspx & depending on some check, you transfer the page to abc.aspx then for user(on browser) the page name will be xyz.aspx only. So when you see app.Request.Url.AbsolutePath next time it will be xyz.aspx (not abc.aspx). -Ramana -----Original Message----- From: suj [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2003 12:28 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: Sujay Suresh Maheshwari Subject: Please help me with server.transfer problem <http://c.msn.com/c.gif?NC=9523&NA=34131&PS=&PI=26283&DI=416&TP=http://group s.msn.com> <http://sc.groups.msn.com/themes/pby/img/mail/mlstar.gif> New Message on BDOTNET <http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet> <http://sc.groups.msn.com/img/c.gif> <http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_notifications.msnw?type=msg&action=showdiscu ssion&parent=1&item=5221> Please help me with server.transfer problem <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] erver%2Etransfer%20problem> Reply <http://sc.groups.msn.com/img/c.gif> <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ver%2Etransfer%20problem> Reply to Sender <http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_notifications.msnw?type=msg&action=recommend &parent=1&item=5221> Recommend Message 1 in Discussion From: <http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/profile?user=suj> suj Hi group, I am facing this weird error. I am using server.transfer to traverse from one page to another. Also I am using context variables. Now I have written an HTTPModule where I check if the user is valid to perform a particular operation on a particular page. So I am first collecting the page name using app.Request.Url.AbsolutePath and then accordingly I am performing some checks. Now the problem is I am not getting right page name as I am using server.transfer. The page name sometimes remains that of previous page. Is there any way I can get the right name in this HTTPModule? Please help Regards, Sujay View other groups in this <http://groups.msn.com/Browse?CatId=26> category. <http://g.msn.com/0AD00001/503024.1??PID=2001966&UIT=M&TargetID=1014733&AN=2 520&PG=WBCCOM> Click Here!
