IN your case : Front end : This will be the .exe which yu r going to installlin various clkient machines. these wil be the typical forms which yu will be producing from the VS.Net. Middle Tier:(business Logic Tier ; Business Component Tier) This will be the place where in yu will be having all the business logics. see when yu crate dll's yu can add these by giving "ADD REferences" using VS.Net in yur forms and Select the corresponding dll in the middle tier server. Data Tier: This will be typically the DATA BASE .sqlserver or yur flavour. The big difference betweene teh web and yur case is that in asp.net we will be using the Browsers ,yu will be using the EXE . Hope this helps yu .
