You shold follow the steps given below.
1. Change the autopostback property of dropdownlist box to true.
2. on the SelectedIndexChanged event of dropdownlist write this code
Calendar1.VisibleDate = CDate("1/1/" & DropDownList1.SelectedItem.Text)
3. You should also take care of not filling the dropdownlist on page load again and
again, for that you can chake if not ispostback then fill the dropdownlist. Here is
example
If Not Page.IsPostBack Then
DropDownList1.Items.Add("2003")
DropDownList1.Items.Add("2004")
DropDownList1.Items.Add("2005")
End If
