Hi! I'm using Oracle 9i as a backhand for my project. For connecting to Oracle in .net,
oracle has come up with a new native driver ODP.NET, besides the traditional OLE DB.
I'm still to use the new driver. I checked with Oracle site. They have two versions of
ODP.NET available of abt 70MB.One of them ,the latest is a beta version. I wanted to
know if anybody has used ODP.NET before, which version should I install on Oracle 9
Release 2 Client. Would installing beta not generate any unnecessary bugs?. Also is
there performance increases practically too(as specified in the orignally in the
docs) by using ODP.NET as compared to old OLE DB provider. Please let me know. Thanks
