----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: a.a. Message 1 in Discussion hello folks, I have a scenario where a client talks to DLL on another machine within a LAN using remoting. This DLL has 3 files (.cs). The first file has a public class which the client calls. The second file has a public class which is called by the public class in the first file. The class in the second file calls a public class in the 3 file. The third file has 3 classes which inherit from each other. The parent class inherits from the ApplicationException class. Normally for remoting the classes must inherit the marshalbyrefobject class. Now since my 3 classes already inherit a class each I cannot inherit from the marshalbyrefobject class. If i dont inherit from marshalbyrefobject class I get a seriliazation error. How do i solve this problem? All files and systems use dotnet runtime.
