Hello Net,
what i was looking for is a way to pass an exception object from the remote
application to my client application. ie i will try/catch a custom error in my client
block but the custom error handling class in on the remote application.

i would do something like this,
try
{
mycustomexception mce = new mycustomexception();
}
catch (mycustomexception mce)
{
//display some message here.
}

the mycustomexception class is actually on the remote application which the client
communicates with using remoting. the problem i face is that this class already
inherits from the ApplicationException class and so cannot inherit the
MarshalByRefObject which is required for the remoting and serialization.

thanks,
