Dear Friends,

Good morning to you all.

I have been reported a strange problem from few of
end users of my corporate website. I have implemented IIS secuirty setting as
WIA (WINDOWS INTEGRATED AUTHENTICATION) so that IE users will not be prompted
for their NT USER NAME and PASSWORD when they browse our corporate website.
Previously it was on BASIC AUTHENTICATION but due to some security problems we
have been moved to WIA. Almost 95% users are able to login with out any
trouble.

I have created an instruction page where I am
directing all end users to add my web site to their browsers Tools ->
Internet Options -> Secuirty -> Local Intranet ->
Sites -> Advanced -> Websites list box. This is to make sure that Intranet
Zone secuirty settings will be used for all the users.

Points I am sure about other 5% users:
1. They are using IE 5.0 or later
2. They have set above mentioned security
setting
3. They are in same domain as my IIS
Server
4. They are valid users and regular employee with
proper accounts with rights in domain.

Problems reported:
1. Every time they browse website they find
Username Password Prompt.
2. I am surprised with the fact, if WIA is not
working thats ok but if they are clicking on save my password then browser
should not prompt them next time.

Please let me know if any of you aware of this kind
of setting and problems associated with it.

Thanks a lot.

Regards
Manish
