Hi all, Yesterday's session by Arun about XML databases was a good one. There are
efforts on creating XML databases. Please check the links below 1. Database
Strategies for Unstructured Content Relational and native XML database developers take
diverse approaches to managing free-form information data. 2. eXist is an Open
Source native XML database featuring efficient, index-based XPath query processing,
extensions for keyword search, XUpdate support and tight integration with existing XML
development tools. The database is lightweight, completely written in Java and may be
easily deployed in a number of ways, running either as a stand-alone server process,
inside a servlet-engine or directly embedded into an application. So, surely there
will be commercially available XML databases in market that will have potential of
stunning Oracle & SQL server BTW Arun, can add some links to the xml database you
were mentioning at the session.. exelon. Have a great day Pooran
