Hi Mrinal, 
float.parse(FloatVariable) should do the trick to check if the value has float value 
or not.
You may get into one problem, which I also faced sometime back..

This could be a good read for u to decide whether to use Double, Float or Decimal data 
type, especially based on the values. Double is the smarter of all. Use 
Math.Round(YourVariable) to round off. Hope that solves ur problem
