Use the cached dataset for viewing. Update both cached dataset and the database while changing/adding database entries. Make sure that there are no manual entries and uncaptured database entries. That should do it. As Akshit says, it is not advisible if the data is frequently updated. Believe me.. this works wonders. Imagine 1000 records using data from 3 tables in flat 2 seconds Make sure, you do performance checks every 6 months on your database.
