----------------------------------------------------------- From: Rlabh Message 3 in Discussion Hi, If you are using SQL Server database in your application, then the best way for you would be to use SQL Mail with your ASP.NET application. Write the email piece of code in a stored procedure and call the stored procedure whenever the ASP.NET form is submitted. This way you can create a mail profile on the server and integrate that with the outlook so that whenever any email is sent, it will be listed under sent items. Also, you can write a stored procedure and parse any incoming mail and can check if it is a bounced mail or not. Please go through the article on SQL Mail and let me know if you have any queries on this. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/Q263/5/56.asp&NoWebContent=1 Regards, Rajesh K Labh http://www.e-softsys.com ----- Original Message ----- From: kgaurav4u To: BDOTNET Sent: Tuesday, September 23, 2003 10:49 AM Subject: Asp.net and Outlook Intergration New Message on BDOTNET Asp.net and Outlook Intergration Reply Reply to Sender Recommend Message 1 in Discussion From: kgaurav4u Hi! I'm looking for a functionality in which a email is sent through a web interface . 1. When the user presses the send button, the mail is inturn forwarded to the Microsoft Outlook client software residing on the same machine as the WebSever from where it is sent to the Exchane Server. ?I'm looking for some code which integrates asp.net with Outlook. 2. I need to define a rule in Outlook for redirecting all the bounced mails(invalid email addresses) to a particular email address. But I assume every email server(yahoo, rediff, hotmail etc) have a different format for bounced back mail. Is there something common in all the bounced mails which we can track and thus categories them as "bounced mail" ? It would be great if someone can help me in this regard.
