 Hi!   A DataSet never connects to a database. A DataAdapter does, using a Connection 
object. DataSet is simply a disconnected in-memory storage for the data fetched from 
previous calls to the database, or created in memory.   What you probably mean to ask 
is that if you could use the same DataSet to update/insert data in different database? 
Yes, you can and this is so since the DataSet is independent of the database involved. 
The only requirement is that the schema of the data in the database must be the same 
as the schema in the target database and the insret/update will happen.   Hope this
