----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: __GauravKhanna__ Message 2 in Discussion Hi! If you plan to work with legacy COM/ActiveX components from your .NET based applications, then you got to know COM. If you plan to write servicedcomponents, then you got to have your COM and COM+ fundamentals clear. Finally, do you plan to talk with distributed components? If yes, then you will be using Remoting and to understand how Remoting benefits over DCOM, you sure should know DCOM (although its optional if you dont care about the benefits!).
