Hi
Arun,
That
error appears on different accounts..
1. When attempting to open a report that has links
to unknown field types.
2. When loading an older report (Crystal Reports 8.5
and lower), unknown field types are now converted to string field
types.
3. When the login credentials are
not correct. Check the connection string
Check these also..

Hi ,
i have designed a report
using the sqlserver say "server1", "Db1",
"pw1","Table1" ,
here i am using Pull method of report generation
at run
time to show the report i am using this
code.
crvGrievanceStatus.ReportSource = new
GrievancesReportForOfficer();
//setting log in info for
report
TableLogOnInfos rptTables =
crvGrievanceStatus.LogOnInfo;
TableLogOnInfo rptTable =
rptTables["Table1"];
ConnectionInfo dbConnInfo =
rptTable.ConnectionInfo;
dbConnInfo.ServerName =
"server1"
dbConnInfo.DatabaseName =
"Db1"
dbConnInfo.UserID = "Pw1"
dbConnInfo.Password =
"Table1"
but when i connect to different server, say
"server2", "Db2", "pw2","Table1"
and i am given the
connection info code like
this.
crvGrievanceStatus.ReportSource = new
GrievancesReportForOfficer();
//setting log in info for
report
TableLogOnInfos rptTables =
crvGrievanceStatus.LogOnInfo;
TableLogOnInfo rptTable =
rptTables["Table1"];
ConnectionInfo dbConnInfo =
rptTable.ConnectionInfo;
dbConnInfo.ServerName =
"server2"
dbConnInfo.DatabaseName =
"Db2"
dbConnInfo.UserID = "Pw2"
dbConnInfo.Password =
"Table1"
but when i run the report it gives me this
exception
"Failed to open a rowset " how to solve this
problem ?
i will most thankful if anybody give me the
solution
Regards,
Arun Udaya
