----------------------------------------------------------- From: shailaja Message 7 in Discussion Hi, Have you tried to compile sample code snippet you have given? Please Try creating interface which is private. Compiler will defintely give an error. And also if you think logically what is use of private interface? When we inherit a class from interface we implement methods defined in it. If the interface is private you will just declare it but you will not be able to implement it anywhere. Why would you like to go for such situation? Same is case with making functions private in Interface. Please look in MSDN also http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/csspec/html/vclrfcsharpspec_3_5.asp It is mentioned in section 3.5.1 Interface members implicitly have public declared accessibility. No access modifiers are allowed on interface member declarations.
