Hi ....
As Pooja put it, joining b.net is by
approval now. This is since a couple of days after we noticed a amt of such
junk mails increasing. This must filter spammers from joining the group and
hopefully such mails wud to tend to 0 !
Manjunath, Only registered users can send
mails to b.net. Yes. Non-registered users cannot send mails. It has been this
way right from the begining.
DotNetSaavy, I am sure everyone of you
even others receive junk mails. How do you handle them? by neglecting. same
here.
Digital Pirate, Ofcourse we have thought
of it and its something we talk of everytime too!
Sitaram thanks for putting out those
points. Just to add, avoiding spam at b.net is not one person or a group of
people's responsibility, its each and every member's responsibility. After
its your group! :)
So lets not crib and cry but work together
to handle it. The first step we have taken to moderate membership should
help to a good extent. Something all of us can do is browse thru the member list
whenever you are free and if you notice a suspicious member name drop a mail to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] .
Good Day
Rajiv.
