I have tested the samples and it worked perfectly. I created a class library that would call the mappoint web service, and used them in my ASP.NET page, this also worked well. But when I call the same code from a windows application it throws an error "The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occured on a receive.". I am not able to figure out why I cannot consume this web service from a win form, while the same works perfectly from a web form. While tracing at runtime, I notice that I am authenticated by MapPoint, but as I call the webmethod the exception occurs. Interestingly searching on MS Support brought up a KB Article that tells u how to fix this error when calling from ASP.NET! Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
