Vikas,
Oops.. I missed that :( I assume a scenario like this.
The app you are working on is a asp.net app and when the user is logged in,
you need to check for new tasks. That is very simple. Have a hidden frame in the
main frameset and there refresh the page every minute and in that check for new
tasks. MSN type messenger is simple to achieve.. use some Dhtml
effects to do that. Check http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ for any of such effects.
