Hi
Yash,
One simple solution can be to use a table to keep the list of users logged into
the application and update the last activity time [Use triggers to do this job].
Then occasionally say, 5 mins, run a check to check if the person has
responded/requested for data. If not, then set the flag that the user is away.
This can also help single instance of login.
