----------------------------------------------------------- From: ssv_2000 Message 1 in Discussion Hi all, I have a machine running on Windows 2000 Professional. This has IIS installed and acts as my WebServer. I use a laptop running Xp Home to connect to the 2000 Machine via Wireless connection. Windows 2000 Professional is not a server, hence I have put both the machines in the same workgroup to make them accessible to each other. I am using Visual Studio for asp.net development. And when I try to debug the web application from my laptop, I get "Unable to start debugging on the server. Debugging component on server could not find this machine". I have already gone through all the articles and the whitepapers on this issue and tried the solutions suggested. The problem doesnt go away unless I grant Administrator rights to "Guest" user on the webserver machine. This is a security issue so I cant do that. How can I know what userid the laptop is using to connect to to the 2000 machine? What do I need to do to have debugging working? please help. thanks. srividya. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/BDOTNET/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
