Hi,  You can get this done by having a Custom Validator. the custom validator will 
fire when the page is posted. In the client side javascript function, check for your 
radio button or the dropdown. Based on that, you can prompt the user to enter the data 
in the textbox. If the textbox is empty, u can set the IsValid property to false. Thus 
ur validations will be done.   HTP Pradeep.
