----------------------------------------------------------- From: SriSamp Message 1 in Discussion One of the questions asked in the last UG when Word XML features were shown was: If a password protected document is converted to XML, is the document still protected?? The answer is: Password protection is a feature of Word documents. Thus, if you save a password protected document as XML (or WordML), Word gives the following message "This document is password protected. Saving this document in a format other than a Word document will result in the loss of this protection. Do you want to continue??" If you continue to save it as XML, the protection is lost.
