Hi   When you call t.GetProperties(), without any parameters, it defaults to 
t.GetProperties(BindingFlags.Public Or BindingFlags.Instance Or BindingFlags.Static). 
Here Public is 16, Instance is 4 and Static is 8, so effectively resulting in a call 
of GetProperties(28).  This will show you the public variables whether instance or 
static.  So for basic functionality you can use this   If you want to override it by 
passing BindingFlags.Public, then you should also specify the static and/or instance 
explicitly.  So either do nothing(t.GetProperties) or do 
everything(t.GetProperties(BindingFlags.Public Or BindingFlags.Instance Or 
BindingFlags.Static)) :)     hth regards,   sr
