Hi,   If u r using a TextEditor other then VS.NET you don't need to give 
Codebehind="Translator.aspx.cs" in @Page directive.   Also src="TranslatorClass.cs" 
will be dynamically compiled when the page is requested.   It is nothing but your code 
behind that will be complied dynamically when you call .aspx page .But it seems your 
actual code behind is Translator.aspx.cs(usually public class  Translator as class 
name).if u have defined ur 'butTranslate_Click' method in this file change the Inherit 
attribute of @Page with class name in Translator.aspx.cs   Or   Make sure you have a 
definition for 'butTranslate_Click' in TranslatorClass.cs   -Raja
