Hi,

Need Help !

I have a SQL Server table in which one of the
columns is of type VARCHAR(8000). I need to add another column to the
table. But then, I get a warning that row size of 8060 bytes has been exceeded
when running the Alter Table statement on SQL 7.0.

Can I handle this by
changing the type of the field mentioned above to TEXT so that the text
pointer is actually stored ?
TEXT field has a default size of 16. Do I
have to set the size of this field??

Regards,
Ajil Antony.
