Hi all, As Srini said we DONOT have a direct way to implement the same. And the
Oracle example uses rownum which is not yet a part of the SQL Server implementation.
It is an custom implementation from Oracle. Now for the methods available. I have an
FAQ on the same: Simulating ROWNUM in SQL Server 2000. Hope this is of some help. Once
we have a pseudo running number we can use the MOD(%) operator as in the other example
and select alternate rows. HTH, Vinod Kumar MVP-SQL Server www.ExtremeExperts.com
