----------------------------------------------------------- From: PuneetT Message 2 in Discussion Hi Keang, 1. A) You need to give write access on the directory where you will be storing all the files uploaded by the user. 1. B) You can use a client side script to check whether the file selected by the user (for uploading to the web server) is a .doc file or not. 2. I also faced a similar problem while working with ASP around 2 yrs back. You can use any virus scanning program and set its options such that it should keep checking for all the files in a particular folder for any viruses. As soon as a virus is found, you generally have the option of taking some actions within the virus scanner progams. You can set the options such that a mail should be triggered to relevant ids and such a file should be deleted. For solution to my problem, I used Norton Antivirus.
