Is there some sort of a relation between the two tables?? If so, then you can use the
T-SQL UPDATE ... FROM command. Here is an example: UPDATE a1 SET a1.contract =
a2.contract
FROM authors a1
INNER JOIN authors a2 ON a1.au_id = a2.au_id
