In our application we use a logging mechanism where in the Web.config file is used to configure the trace level and the file to which the information is logged. This mode of tracing works fine when the trace is initiated from inside a Web Form. But when a trace is initiated inside a COM+ component then the logging does not take place. It seems that the component deployed in COM+ cannot read the config file which is apparently in the Web server memory. I would like to know if there is fix to this problem , or do we have any other alternative for logging from inside COM+ components.
