Writing a DTS package to transfer data between Excel and SQL Server is very 
straight-forward. You can design the DTS package in the server and then save it as a 
structure storage file. This file can then be accessed at the client end using DTS 
libraries.   If you want DTS to work on machines where there is no SQL Client, you 
need to get the DTS specific DLL's and install them onto the machine and then try (I'm 
not sure if this will work, since I've never tried it). The list of DTS specific DLL's
