I need to setup the .NET CMS solution on another server (I will use the Protogenic as
the primary source). We have a client - another development company - who is
interested in buying the solution, and reselling it to their clients. I would still
do the development work (setup/customizations/etc) for them. But I want to install a
"kill switch" that can disable the application remotely.
For example, if this company breaches contract, I could change an "active" setting
from "Yes" to "No" (binary is ok) on our server, which would disable the application.
Is there an easy way to do this in ASP.NET?
The key selling point to the .NET CMS is the "open" factor, meaning that other
developers can take it and make their own modifications, however I need to protect our
code.
Please do give some suggestions...
