Hi Gururaj,
   As Raghunandan told, we can use int.parse or double.parse for checking if the 
string is a number or not.
   
    You can do this
         Try
            If Not Double.IsNaN(Double.Parse(TextBox1.Text)) Then
                MessageBox.Show("Number!")
            End If
        Catch ex As Exception
            MessageBox.Show("Not a Number!")
        End Try
