DateTime oldDate = DateValue; DateTime postedDate = DateTime.Parse(postedValue); Considering that the variable postedValue (Posted from client to a server control) has value - 22/01/2004, the line in red fails. Exception is - Cannot recognise the string as a valid date time. However, when I use the same string from within a console application there is no exception being thrown.
