----------------------------------------------------------- From: spprivate Message 1 in Discussion Hi, Seems very peculiar problem, When I invoke an excel object in ASP.NET,this creates a instance of excel in server.The problem is ,after closing the browser(ending the session),still the excel resides in the server memory and I am not able to kill it even through task manager.Only if i restart the server it gets cleared.What is the problem likely. Is there anyway I can use the excel in the client machine and if client doesnt have excel installed ,it should through an error. Infact this is not only with Excel,But with MS projects and other office applications. Any ideas..
